History Kauhavan Puukkopaja

Kauhava = historical capital of puukko (Iisakki, Lammi, dozens of forges in the 19th). After the war, almost everything disappeared; Iisakki survives. In the 1990s, forges reopened.

Kauhavan Puukkopaja Matti Koski, founded on 1 January 1995. Family business, wholesale and retail, online shop 2019.

No imperial myth: work, erä, hobby, corporate gifts, kurssipuukko.

Blades: Laurin Metalli Oy (Kauhava) — carbon ~0.8% C, 59–60 HRC (often 80CrV2). Koski takes over the bevels (often slightly concave after the mill) and sharpens. Free engraving « Kauhavan Puukkopaja, Finland » ; MK stamp. First name offered on the back online.

Handles : visakoivu (natural, brown, red-black), reindeer wood, leather; A little tuohi and willow magnifying glass.

Furs: vegetable tanned bull leather, piece by piece pattern, plastic insert.

No.
